Hey everyone! Hope this post finds you all well and you're ready for the Turkey Day break! Not a lot to report at this time, but here is what's new or upcoming:
- The Winter/Spring/Summer brochure is out and available to you!! It looks fantastic and is incredibly thick! Also, the website has been updated with these classes as well as with the staff page. Be sure to sign up for classes or summer camps and check out the rest of the show season!
- Peter Pan auditions are right around the corner! They will be taking place December 9th & 10th from 4pm - 10pm & callbacks are December 13th from 1pm - 7pm. Auditions will be in the Pavilion. Please tell your friends to come by and audition! Also, we need quite a few older kids to be pirates in the cast!! If you have any questions or concerns, just comment back and let me know. Also, for those going for leads, the sides are available on the website on the Peter Pan page!
- Please take advantage of our new online/downloadable audition form! Just click the link below, type all your info in the blanks, hit the print button and then sign the bottom and you're ready for the audition. Don't forget to save it as well, then you'll have it for the next audition with only making a few minor changes, easy right?? I've also provided the link for the financial application form that you have to print out and fill out by hand.
Click Here for Financial Aid Application
I think that is it for now. Again, please feel free to contact me via email (aboehne@norriscenter.com) or call 310.544.0403 x263 with any questions or concerns with auditions, productions, or general education department questions.
Also, make sure you check out our website, www.norriscenter.com, that is always updated and ever-changing.
Have a great Thanksgiving Holiday, don't eat too much turkey, and see everyone next month!!

What's Going on Here & What's New
Hey everyone! So excited that there are more followers to this message board! So what's coming up and what's new you might ask?
- We're working on a "rehearsal schedule hotline!" Starting on Thursday evening you'll be able to call my work phone number and then type in the extension number and tada! You'll hear my voice reciting the weekend's rehearsal schedule. Now you won't have to worry about having an internet connection, you'll just be able to phone in. Forgot which space you're in? Call the hotline, not my cell :)
- Hope you've all seen the Peter Pan sides that are available for you to print out on the Peter Pan audition information page. Also on the Audition page, you'll find that each show already has it's rehearsal calendar posted! No you know when we'll be rehearsing, having tech, and performances all the way through the end of the summer!
- Want to save time during the audition process? On the top of the Audition page, you'll find links that will provide you with a blank audition form and a blank financial aid form. Print them out and fill them out prior to arriving on the day of auditions. Saves you so much time! Also, when you down load it, you can save it to your computer and imput all your information on it and then print it out - it will be so easy for everyone to read then. PLUS! You can keep it saved and just change out the appropriate show information for each audition. So much time saved :)
That's all I've got for the time being! Please let me know if there is anyway to make things easier or if you have any suggestions!
See ya next week! ~ Ash

Peter Pan Sides - POSTED!
Yes, Peter Pan sides are posted on the website under the "Auditions/Callbacks" page. Click on "Audition & Production information" next to the Peter Pan picture. Below each lead character is a side that you can pull up on your computer and read/print out for the audition/callback.
Our director for this production has told us that for those who would like a lead...you need to go for it! Do your research, be familiar with the storyline and characters, along with the script. I would have a good knowledge of these sides by the time you come in and audition, don't wait for a callback. There is a good chance that he'll ask you to read a side at the first audition.
As stated in the previous posting, those who get cast in the show this year, your scripts will be emailed to you and you'll be expected to print them out yourselves and bring them to the first rehearsal. A great thing about this is that you'll have your script nearly a month prior to the first rehearsal!!
Hope everyone has a great Halloween on Saturday!!

Goodbye Rising Stars - Hello Winter Session
A big thank you and congrats to everyone who made this year's Rising Stars a huge success! Saturday evening went so well and everyone I ran into afterwards said they were very impressed!
So what's next? A Christmas Carol will be holding auditions next week and is looking for children of various ages. Please check out our "Auditions/Callbacks" page to find out further information about those auditions and the production.
Auditions for Peter Pan will be in early December and the first rehearsal will begin in early January. Script are going to be EMAILED to every cast member the day the cast list goes up. It will be each cast member's responsibility to print off their own script and have it in a binder the first day of rehearsal! Also, by the first rehearsal, everyone should be familiar with the script and leads should be off-book. We are flying the 4 leads and their schedule will become very busy during tech week. Please see more information about this under the Peter Pan page under "Auditions/Callbacks"
